Hats and Sun Care
The Cancer Council of Western Australia recommends the sun protection strategies of ‘Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, Slide’. As stated in our dress code for physical education and outdoor activities, students at Atwell Primary School will be required to wear the school uniform faction bucket hat.
During lunch and recess breaks, children without hats will be directed to play in shaded areas or in the covered assembly area. This is for the protection of your child.
We strongly encourage you apply sunscreen to your child on days where the UV rating is 3 or higher and supply sunscreen for your child to apply regularly throughout the day.
