Medication

Children who have a medical condition requiring medication should contact the front office. Students are not to bring medication to school without prior approval and medication is not to be kept in student's bags.

Parent's may request that staff administer their child's medication by completing a form at the office. This includes both prescription and non-prescription medication. In instances of unexpected anaphylaxis the school may administer non-prescribed medication to treat this.

For chronic conditions like asthma, allergies or diabetes a long-term plan made in coordination with the family doctor, specialist and school nurse, including medication, will be implemented.
