Our Library
Our school library was fully refurbished in 2022 with generous support from our P&C. Named in honour of our inaugural Deputy Principal, the Peter Gerrard Library Resource Centre is a warm and welcoming space designed for students and the wider school community. The flexible layout allows shelving and seating to be rearranged for special events, including our popular Scholastic Book Fairs.
Students from Pre Primary to Year 6 visit the library once a week with their class. To help protect our resources, all students are required to use a library bag when borrowing books. Loans are for 7 days and can be renewed when books are returned for scanning.
Once students begin a levelled Home Read program, they are welcome to change these books before or after school in addition to their weekly class visit.
Lost Property
Lost property is either hung on a mobile rack or stored in a dedicated box outside the Library. Parents and students are welcome to check the box before and after school for any missing items.
At the end of each term, the lost property box is cleared. Items that are clearly labelled with a child’s full name are returned whenever possible, and any unclaimed items are donated to charity.
To help us return belongings quickly, we kindly ask all families to ensure all personal items are clearly labelled.
