School Dental Service
The School Dental Service provides free general dental care to eligible children through school-based Dental Therapy Centres. Our local dental therapy centre is on site at Harmony Primary School, Aurora Drive, Atwell; Phone: (08) 9414 6243.
What services are provided?
Children can receive a range of general dental services, including:
Routine check-ups
Oral health advice
X-rays
Fillings
Extractions
Fissure sealants
Please note: Specialist services such as orthodontics and oral surgery are not provided. If these are needed, children will be referred to an external service.
Who is eligible?
Your child can access free care if they:
• Are aged 5 to 16, or until the end of Year 11 (whichever comes first)
• Attend a school recognised by the WA Department of Education
How do we enrol?
Eligible families will receive a School Dental Service enrolment form.
Please complete the form and return it to the Dental Therapy Centre listed on the form.
If you have not received a form, simply contact your local Dental Therapy Centre to organise one.
How much does it cost?
General dental treatment provided at Dental Therapy Centres is free.
However, any services not offered by the School Dental Service may incur a cost, payable by parents or carers.
